About Ammar
I'm a London-based yoga teacher specialising in strong, intelligent vinyasa practice, handstands, arm balances and inversions. I work one-to-one with students who want focused, progressive coaching rather than a generic class. I also teach at a selection of studios in NW London where you can meet me first if you'd like.
My approach is rooted in honest assessment, precise alignment and a clear, structured plan built around each individual's body, goals and limiting factors. I teach with full attention, patience and care, meeting complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike exactly where they are, and helping them build something solid and lasting.
Whether the aim is confident fundamentals or a first handstand, I'll give you the drills, progressions and feedback to get there.

I'm a private yoga teacher based in West Hampstead, London, offering one-to-one sessions for two kinds of students: those who want to build a strong, intelligent yoga practice from the ground up, and those working towards a specific goal, like a handstand, or more advanced postures.
Both start in the same place: understanding where you are, what your body needs, and what's actually holding you back. From there, every session is designed around you, your alignment, your restrictions, your pace.
What to expect: an honest assessment of your movement and practice; sessions structured around your specific goals; drills and progressions targeting your individual limiting factors; homework for those who want to work between sessions; and a clear plan, not just a good class.
Whether you're relatively new to yoga and want a solid foundation, or you've been practising for years and want to push into more complex territory, this is focused, progressive work with a teacher who's paying full attention.
Sessions are 60 or 75 minutes, and I offer a free 15-minute discovery call first so we can talk through your goals and make sure it's the right fit before committing to anything.
