About Kristen

~Hello, and welcome~

I'm glad you're here!

I have been practicing yoga for almost 4+ years now and have myself growing exceptionally in the subject. I have an extensive background in theatre and musical theatre which provides me that prior dance, mind, body, and meditation experience that all goes into play when practicing yoga.

I plan to hold sessions, at your convenience, to practice, explore, and grow your potential of what you are able to do with your body. Sometimes we really surprise ourselves in our capabilities and that is my goal for each person that I get to know through this. I want everyone to realize their potential in some way or another, and it does not necessarily have to be in yoga (though that would be rad!). It could be an emotional/mental revelation that you come across if you wish to add an element of meditation to our sessions.

This should not be seen as a formal "class", but rather a fun opportunity to meet others and explore the full potential of our bodies through movement and mind-body connections.

About the lesson

I really emphasize the importance of earth-mind-body connections through all of my routines and sessions. It is important to note that every aspect of our bodies is interconnected in some way. Daily mindful breathing and stretching are known to reduce stress and anxieties resulting from constant exposure to external triggers. This then flows over into how we treat the earth, thus resulting in how we treat others and ourselves. If there is one thing that I remind my students of each day, it is to treat themselves kindly.

My students are my top priority. I want to make sure that I am helping you to meet your personal goals and desired outcomes for our sessions. This is exactly why before our first session, I would love to meet with you, get to know you better, and discuss exactly what you want from my instruction. If you're not sure, that is completely fine as well! We'll work together to explore likes and dislikes and whether or not you even like this practice if you are a beginner.

You have the option to have a different goal each session (yoga for the splits, back tension, stress relief, nighttime yoga, morning flow, etc),

or we can construct a plan with one desired goal over a string of sessions (increase flexibility, reduce back tension, improve posture, etc. over a series of sessions).
