About Amy
I was drawn to yoga to seek respite and heal my body after suffering health issues as a young adult. My love for the practice and passion for health and wellbeing soon became the forefront of my work and studies.
I hold an MA in Yoga and Meditation Traditions from SOAS, University of London. My academic work explores the evolution of yoga asana, and the role of spirituality in illness, health and healing. My passion lies in the body, in its movement, its relationship to nature, to health, illness, and healing.
I have been practising yoga for over 15 years. My teaching style encompasses my love for both dynamic movement and deep rest, understanding the importance of balance and equilibrium for a healthy body and mind.
I have studied an extensive variety of yoga styles, including Maha Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Pregnancy & Postnatal yoga, Kriya/Kundalini, Hot Yoga, Astanga, and Yoga Nidra. I also study and teach Buddhist meditation and mindfulness practices.

Classes are tailored to your needs and experience, whether you are looking for an introduction to yoga postures and techniques, developing your practice through further understanding of the yogic body, or working with an injury or illness.
My classes have often been described as "chilled but challenging," leaving you relaxed but energised. You'll be supported in progressing in your physical practice and finding alignment in your body, mind, and spirit. At the end of each class, you will leave with a few new tools to add to your yoga repertoire and concepts to contemplate.
My years of teaching experience allow me to adjust the yogic teachings for students of any level within a friendly and supportive environment.

Amy is the yoga teacher at a class I regularly attend. She is a thoughtful, reliable and knowledgeable teacher. She is able to accommodate different levels of ability in her yoga teaching. She has an easy manner and she can demonstrate and explain techniques in an accessible way.
I love Amy's yoga classes, she's warm and kind and offers a perfect blend of physical and restorative work throughout each class which really suits what I'm looking for in my yoga practice. Amy has a good knowledge of anatomy and is able to tailor classes to meet individual needs, niggles or injuries etc.
For many reasons I lost body flexibility over the past few years.
I had let regular yoga practice decline and so I was keen to start again when Amy introduced classes at my local community centre.
Within a short period of attending weekly sessions my flexibility improved significantly as did my overall sense of wellbeing.
Amy is a caring and considerate teacher.
Every class is different with poses that are varied and challenging so I am enthused when I see improvement in my technique.
I come away from classes feeling energised yet calm and happy.
Amy is keen to ensure each person is engaged and so demonstrates adaptations to asanas to enable full participation of each student and correcting students’ postures when necessary.
I also see Amy for 1:1 sessions in her relaxing Moon Space studio and find the individual tuitions incredibly beneficial.
Her classes are welcoming and inclusive, attracting likeminded students.
Life can be chaotic and stressful and this reflects in our body and minds.
I wholly recommend Amy’s classes as a way to help reset the damage “doing life” can cause and which we often ignore or accept as inevitable.Amy’s yoga classes are fantastic. She caters for all needs and experiences and her kind and gentle manner encourages you to stretch and challenge yourself each week. She explains and demonstrates each position clearly and gives guided feedback to help you improve. I look forward to her class all week, and always come away feeling invigorated. I can’t recommend her enough.
