I teach about the 8 limbs of yoga and have taught individual sessions to over 100 participants in a 3-hour workshop setting.
Students learn to how to make yoga accessible through the use of props to include chair, bolsters, blocks, and straps. The use of props help students to find ease and release in postures and movement. I embrace the R.E.S.T. method to promote sustainable learning. This method includes: Reflecting and journaling upon learning; Exploring concepts you would like to learn more about; Set Intention for the reasons why you participate in the class and how you want this learning to impact your life; and Taking Away knowledge to create your own 10 to 15-minute practice.
As a higher education professional, I am an experienced yoga teacher having worked with hundreds of students over the past 6 years. I help students understand how yoga relates to their everyday life. Students are empowered to develop their own regular 'asana' practice and personal healthy living regimen.
In person yoga is conducted at 846 Albany Ave, Hartford, CT
