About Tonya
Holding a BMus Violin degree, I focus on the French tradition. This foundational training ensures that technical habits remain sound and durable over the long term. I work primarily with adult restart players who wish to return to the instrument without feeling regret or shame.
My instruction covers double stops, ABRSM or Trinity exam prep, ear training, and nuanced bowing techniques like spiccato and staccato. I also refine tone production, shifting, and music theory concepts during our time together. Please reach out if you would like to discuss your musical goals.
