About Chrystal
My name is Chrystal, and I'm a native Louisianian who's fluent in English, but can also speak, write and understand some broken Creole, French, and Spanish - enough to be able to communicate with others effectively. I've been teaching, tutoring, and mentoring willing minds for over twenty-five years - and initially began tutoring and peer-mentoring in my sophomore year of high school. I prefer to take the artistically creative and unconventional route when it comes to teaching because I believe that people learn from other people that they can relate to and see themselves in... it's how we all learn actually.
I'm grateful that my dedicated years of knowledge, wisdom, and life lessons, can be shared through this platform to continuously benefit myself, while also proving to be a life-changing benefit and help to others as well. Educationally, I have earned a BIS in Liberal Studies & Humanities, with a concentration in Business Administration; a BS in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management & Operations, and an AS in Business Administration, with a concentration in Office Management & Information Processing.
Additionally, I’ve completed a 120-hour TESOL Course, hold a diploma in Educational Psychology, and hold certifications in Learning Processes for Teachers and Trainers, Teaching English As A Second Language, and Working with Students with Special Needs.

As a seasoned tutor, my goal is to help you learn how to communicate effectively and confidently; while also learning how to properly utilize the English language - in reading, written, and spoken form - and to your personal and professional advantage. I understand that everyone's needs are unique, which is why I offer fully customizable learning plans that are specifically tailored to my student's individual needs and requirements.
I'm passionate about teaching English as a second language, believe that everyone should have access to quality language education. I'm professionally and personally dedicated to the educational growth and development of my students and offer a completely customizable teaching/tutoring curriculum that focuses primarily on individual needs, English Language Arts, and Enrichment (which includes, but is not limited to: reading; writing; speaking; comprehension; word origins; grammar; spelling; penmanship; literature, etc.).
With my guidance, you can achieve the results you desire in all of your ESL, TESOL, TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, English phonetics, and GMAT prep/testing endeavors. In lieu of the recent, somewhat inconsistent public health scares, I would like to state for the record that I only provide private tutoring services ONLINE, via WEBCAM, at this time. Online Tutoring Rates are $35.00/hr. and blocked sessions are available in 2 options: 5 hours for $175.00 and 10 hours for $350.00.
