I'm the former play-by-play broadcaster for the Dallas Stars (NHL) hockey team on TV & Radio for 25 years. I've been on the air and working in the business since my first paying radio job at 16. Currently I write OP ED columns for the Dallas Morning News, I freelance voice work and radio hosting, and am producing my own podcast. I've broadcasted every sport, and have hosted my own talk show.
I have a BAAS in Training and Development from the University of North Texas
I've been officially and unofficially mentoring and teaching for years. I've taught "Sports Broadcasting" as the primary lecturer at UNT, I've given hundreds of group and individual seminars on broadcasting, writing, producing, and on sharpening life and job skills.
I take great pride in the knowledge that so many - so many of the young people with whom I've worked have found jobs in the business and are experiencing great success.
I'm good at this.
I suggest a minimum of 5 hours to start. If you're interested in more specialized or long term training we can discuss.
I'll customize the course to meet your needs. After an initial assessment of you, your skills, your experience, and your goals, we'll work together to help you polish your strengths and bolster up your weaknesses.
