About Garland
Musicians at every stage often struggle to bridge the gap between technical practice and true creativity. My approach is simple: get you creating real music from day 1.
I earned a BFA in Music Technology from NYU Steinhardt to better understand the mechanics of sound. After 5 years of guitar work, I have mastered tuning, maintenance, and complex acoustic technique.
Ear training, scales, and modes are the foundation for any lead player. Improvisation requires a deep comfort with your instrument.
I have helped 157 students navigate the fretboard through clear, logical steps. Reading tabs and sheet music becomes second nature once you understand the logic. I am here to help you get better.

Simplicity defines how I teach. You will build a strong foundation that makes playing feel natural. By combining my 6.0 rating approach with my degree in music tech, I teach you how to treat the guitar as a tool for expression. We cover improvisation, soloing, and ear training to ensure your hands and ears work in harmony.
Whether you are learning scales or fine-tuning your technique, the process stays grounded. I make sure you leave every session knowing how to build a song. It is quite rewarding to see the progress you make during our time together.
