About Elijah
I am a musical theatre performer attending Emerson College in Boston. I am also a successful stand up comic in the triangle area. I have been playing chess since I was a young boy against my uncles, father, grandfather, and mother. This motivated me to improve, which I have immensely through years of studying books containing strategies for the beginning, middle, and end game. I have also studied grandmaster games, learning from the top players of the present and past. I am confident I will be able to pass on my skills to any aspiring chess player.

We will begin with the basics, I will recommend good chess books for you to read while also giving personal hands on instructions, playing and studying games across the board. I will set you up with a chess.com or lichess account to hone your skills at home. I have access to a Square Off Pro electronic chess board so you can analyze your games in real time with me, going over mistakes and ensuring improvement. Whatever your level is I will adjust to it to ensure a simple yet effective transition into the world of chess.
