About Skylar
Starting mid-thought, I often suggest that grammar is just the rhythm section beneath the melody of a conversation. Having earned a BA Music in Songwriting, I apply that same sense of structure to our listening practice and vocabulary building. You will receive a dedicated homework module with feedback after every class to ensure you stay on track.
These 13 years of teaching allow me to simplify the complex parts of DELF and DALF preparation. My methods are rooted in the Vigneault and Charlebois tradition of storytelling. We keep things light and honest throughout our time together. Drop me a line so we can get to work on your progress.

Spending 13 years playing folk songs across Montreal clubs led me to pick up the linguistic nuances of the city. Perhaps you are a traveller or an absolute beginner looking for someone who understands that language is just another form of performance art. I have worked with kids and adults for 13 years to help them grasp everyday phrases and reading comprehension.
It is a joy to see students bridge the gap between textbook French and the real world. You will find my approach quite grounding. We focus on what matters most for your specific goals.
