About Marilynn
Point of view, hook writing, and harmony basics are the core pillars of my songwriting process. I have a BFA in Music Technology from NYU Steinhardt.
My work supports gigging musicians, career switchers, and content creators who need to get their ideas out of their heads and into the world. I specialize in helping independent artists and complete beginners navigate the nuances of genre conventions.
My approach combines the technical side of building dynamics with the emotional core of motif development. I have worked with 173 students to date. It is about getting the song done. I am here to help you move forward.

Making the songwriting process fun involves focusing on the story you want to tell and the melody that carries it. My lessons are straightforward and project-based because I know how frustrating it is to leave a track sitting unfinished on your hard drive. We will write over chords, develop your titles, and refine your concepts together until you have a complete song. Drawing on my BFA from NYU Steinhardt and 10 years of experience, I provide the structure you need to stop second-guessing your lyrics.
You will learn to manage your song structure while we focus on the specific goal of having a finished, polished track ready for the world. It is a satisfying way to build your craft.
