Real songs provide the fuel for every minute we spend together in the studio. Imagine grabbing your guitar to finally nail that riff you heard on the radio this morning.
My lessons focus on active rhythm guitar and deep ear training to keep your hands moving constantly. Beginners get hands-on support while advanced learners tackle complex lead guitar concepts during these 6 years of experience sessions. Teens and kids thrive here because we avoid boring exercises in favor of real band energy. Monthly recorded progress reviews ensure you hear exactly how your sound changes over time.

Playing guitar started when I was 8 and that first thick metal string vibrating against my thumb hooked me for life. I spent 10 years touring the US playing blues and rock in various bands where the smell of stale beer and hot vacuum tubes became my office. Teaching became my favorite part of the week after I realized that passing on what I learned on the road matters more than any gig.
I have worked with 100 students ranging from total beginners to those stuck in pentatonic jail who need to see the fretboard differently. My classes cover everything from rhythm guitar and intricate fingerpicking to basic tuning and maintenance.
I also handle grade exam prep for students who want to get serious about their technical accuracy. Reading tabs and electric technique are part of the daily routine for my intermediate players. You will find me honest and energetic as we work through the rough edges of your playing. My background at Belmont University informs how I break down complex concepts into small manageable pieces for you.
