About Kayla
Hi! I'm a 17-year-old artist who's been drawing and painting since I was 4 years old. Art has always been a big part of my life—it's how I express myself, relax, and explore my imagination. Over the years, I've worked with different styles and mediums, and one of my proudest moments was having my artwork featured at a botanical garden exhibit. I'm left-handed and I think that gives me a unique perspective, especially when it comes to creativity and thinking outside the box. I'm super patient, especially with kids, and I love helping them discover their artistic side. Whether your child is a total beginner or already loves to draw, I take my time to make sure they feel confident, comfortable, and inspired.

My Approach as an Art Tutor
As a young artist with over 13 years of personal drawing and painting experience, my teaching style is creative, patient, and student-focused. I believe every child has an inner artist, and my goal is to help them feel confident expressing themselves through art—at their own pace and in their own unique style.
Teaching Method and Techniques
I focus on building strong fundamentals like:
Line drawing and shading
Color mixing and brushwork
Perspective and proportions
Imagination-based and observational art
Each technique is taught through fun, age-appropriate exercises that encourage experimentation and creativity. I use step-by-step guidance with room for self-expression so kids never feel rushed or overwhelmed. I adapt my methods depending on how each student learns best—visually, by doing, or through playful challenges.
️ A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is 45–60 minutes and follows a flexible structure:
Warm-up activity – Simple sketching or shape practice
Main project – Guided drawing or painting (e.g., animals, nature, characters)
Creative time – Freestyle drawing or personal project support
Wrap-up & feedback – Positive, constructive tips and next steps
Projects are designed to be both fun and skill-building, with plenty of encouragement throughout.
