About Maiya
I am graduating in May of 2020 with my elementary education teaching degree. I have nannied for five years while attending school full-time. I have experiences with infants all way up to school-age children. I have had experiences in a fifth grade classroom, 2nd grade classroom, and first grade classroom.

I base my teaching on personalized learning and differentiating instruction. Every student learns differently and I strive to meet each of my students where they are at. I think it is important to set high expectations for each of my students and believe that they are capable of more than they think they can handle. I also believe that as an educator, we are teaching the whole child: intellectually, mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally.
