About Alex
I am someone who loves loves music. There is something special, unique, and profound with expressing ourselves through sound. This is why I accept any chance to play or teach music. I was fortunate enough to get piano lessons when I was younger that provided me with a strong foundation of music theory. I can also teach beginning piano to help refine that foundation. Your knowledge of music theory will provide a more technical complex understanding of ALL music. I hope to foster your relationship with music itself, and get you motivated to listen and create more regardless of where you are in life.

I am very patient and flexible with you or your child's goals. If your goal is to be more comfortable on the instrument, build technical and musical ability, I will create a personalized plan to help encourage more frequent progressive practicing. Having played trumpet from elementary school-college, I am well prepared to assist with any age level. If you are feeling comfortable already and looking to elevate your playing and prepare for an audition, I am here to help. Having participated in many honor bands and regional bands, I know what these groups are listening for and can help you feel confident and ready. I have helped many students accomplish their goals of joining these bands , improving their confidence, and soaring beyond. I am here to help and look forward to guiding you on your musical journey.
