About Paul
I'm a lively and creative teacher who has used the most up to date teaching materials during his 34 years' experience. I teach 11 Plus and have helped hundreds of students to get to the school they wanted, supporting students to perfect their skills in Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning, Maths and English. I teach English as far as GCSE, ensuring that students learn basic grammar, and their spelling and essay-writing skills are of a high standard, so that by the time they reach GCSE level they are totally conversant. What's more, I teach basic Maths up to year 7, and make sure that students have all learnt everything they need so that when they come to SATS they pass easily.
I have taught French and Spanish up to advanced level ensuring that students can speak and write the language correctly. I use colourful, easy-to-understand teaching materials so that they learn well and enjoy what they learn.
Over the last ten years I have also taught Italian and Portuguese to beginners' level. I make sure that students know how to count up to 1000, ask for food,
drink and medicines. I use as much role play as possible, so that students
are immersed in everyday situations and feel confident about speaking the language. Now when they go on holiday, they find that they enjoy it much more.
