About David
Growing up in East Houston, I developed my love for sports playing neighborhood street basketball and pickup games that emphasized competitiveness, creativity, teamwork, and resilience. That passion has stayed with me throughout my life, and I’ve continued playing and studying the game everywhere I’ve lived across the country.
For me, athletics are as much mental as they are physical. Learning how to stay focused, build confidence, and “get your head in the game” is a major part of athletic development. I teach athletes to compete with intensity, stay disciplined under pressure, and give maximum effort while also remembering that sports should be enjoyable, rewarding, and fun.
Professionally, my background is in filmmaking and post-production, where I’ve built a successful career as an Emmy Award-winning video editor. At the same time, I’ve always maintained a strong passion for mentorship, coaching, and working with young athletes. That passion is what led me to pursue youth sports training and development — helping kids build confidence, sharpen their skills, and grow both as athletes and teammates.
My coaching philosophy focuses on fundamentals, consistency, communication, teamwork, and creating a positive environment where athletes feel motivated to improve. I’m committed to delivering meaningful progress and measurable development for every athlete I work with.

Standing 6’5” with a lifelong background in athletics, I bring extensive experience coaching and training in the three cornerstone American sports — basketball, baseball, and football. My goal is to help young athletes elevate their game while developing confidence, discipline, leadership, and a genuine passion for competition.
Whether it’s on the hardwood, the gridiron, or the baseball field, I’m committed to creating an environment that motivates athletes to grow both on and off the field. I believe sports are one of the most powerful tools for building character, teamwork, accountability, and mental resilience within our community.
My training philosophy centers around developing strong fundamentals and lasting muscle memory through repetition, consistency, discipline, and high-level game awareness. I emphasize teamwork, communication, and intelligent decision-making to help athletes understand not just how to play the game, but how to think the game. By building confidence through preparation and mastery of the fundamentals, the sport naturally becomes more fluid, instinctive, competitive — and ultimately, more enjoyable.
