Lessons will be over zoom and I like to keep an ubeat and encouraging attitude! At these lessons mistakes are praised and nothing to be ashamed of because they help you improve. New students I will ask to play something that demonstrates their level so we can work together on improving things like technique, tone, rhythm, and musicality!

I am a middle school band/orchestra director and I wish all of my coaches were like Jolie! She is an amazing flutist and an even better educator. Often times, I have fantastic musicians offer help for my program, but many lack the ability to connect and effectively engage with students. Jolie has success in both aspects as she even surprises me despite my many years of teaching professionally. Jolie can teach a wide range of ages from beginners in elementary school to adults picking up an old hobby. This Fall, she will be taking her talents to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she will study with world-renowned musicians and faculty - I believe that speaks for itself. I would highly recommend her for anything regarding the flute - she will impress you!
First of all Jolie is a great musician and very much so knows what she is talking about with all things regarding the flute. She is also kind and patient and a great teacher. Probably the most important thing about Jolie, in a teaching perspective, is that she genuinely wants to help her students grow and be the best that they can be.
Jolie has a passion and love for the flute and has been playing now for 8 years. She has grown personally as a musician each year and has also won many awards, competitions, and accolades. While in high school, she began teaching flute to others and now loves to share her knowledge and passion of music with other budding musicians. She is very patient with her students and is very organized and skilled at lesson planning. I believe she would be a wonderful flute teacher for any student.
I consider Jolie to be an extremely close friend and colleague of mine. She is an extremely dedicated and hardworking musician with amazing drive and perseverance. If anyone is qualified to teach flute, it's her. In the past, I've worked with her as volunteer music instructors for the Dragon Kim Foundation, and her kind personality, dedication to teaching, and vast knowledge of flute playing made it so that the kids actually wanted to learn the flute.
I have known Jolie for three years, and I can say without a doubt that she is wonderful flute teacher. Her students and colleagues love her for her caring, fun, and encouraging personality. She supports her students, and helps them grow through their lessons. I would recommend Jolie as a flute teacher for flute students that want to enjoy music, have a fun time, and learn a lot.
