About Jessica

Hi! I’m a recent high school graduate entering a top academic program this fall. I’ve always loved school, especially helping classmates and younger students understand tough concepts and feel proud of their progress. Over the past year, I’ve tutored K-8 students in math, reading, and writing, and I also offer test prep for the SAT and ACT. I believe learning doesn’t have to feel stressful or confusing. My sessions are customized, encouraging, and focused on building real understanding, not just memorization. Whether your student needs homework help, extra practice, or prep for a big exam, I’d love to support them in reaching their goals.

About the lesson

I have over a year of experience tutoring K-8, and I offer tutoring in Math, Reading, Writing, and SAT/ACT prep for K–12 students. I’m patient, supportive, and committed to helping each student build confidence and strong academic habits.

A Typical Lesson Plan:

Each session starts with a quick check-in to review previous material or clarify confusion. Then, we move into guided practice, explanations, and active problem-solving. I end sessions by reviewing what we covered and previewing what’s next. I also offer feedback to parents if desired.

What Sets Me Apart:

As someone who recently went through K–12 and standardized testing, scored a 1550 SAT, 36 ACT, and graduated near the top of my class, I bring both academic skill and relatability.

Who I Teach:

I work with elementary through high school students (grades 1–12), with a focus on:
• K–8 math, reading, and writing
• Algebra I & II, Geometry
• SAT and ACT test prep
My lessons are great for students who want to boost their skills, catch up, prepare for testing, or build long-term confidence.

We brought Jessica his recent homework assignments and she helped him go through it. After Jessica tutored him, he was no longer having those kind of issues.
