About Giuliana
Hello! My name is Giuliana, and I am a certified first grade teacher with a passion for helping young learners build confidence and succeed academically. I have classroom experience teaching reading, writing, phonics, and math, and I enjoy creating engaging lessons that meet each child's individual learning needs.
I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their strengths, goals, and learning style. My approach is patient, encouraging, and positive, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and celebrating their progress along the way.

**My Approach as a Tutor**
As a first grade teacher, I believe every child can succeed when they feel supported, encouraged, and engaged. My tutoring approach is patient, individualized, and hands-on. I build lessons around each student's strengths and areas for growth while creating a positive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
**My Teaching Method and Techniques**
I use research-based instructional strategies that are developmentally appropriate for young learners. My lessons include explicit instruction, guided practice, interactive activities, educational games, and positive reinforcement. I also incorporate visual supports, manipulatives, and technology when appropriate to make learning meaningful and engaging. I regularly check for understanding and adjust instruction based on each student's progress.
**A Typical Lesson**
A typical tutoring session begins with a brief review of previously learned skills, followed by a mini-lesson introducing or reinforcing a specific concept. Students then practice the skill together with my guidance before working independently to build confidence. We end each session by reviewing what was learned, celebrating successes, and discussing strategies for continued practice at home.
