About Elizabeth
I’m a recent high school graduate who has always had a strong passion for English and communication. Throughout my studies, I developed a deep appreciation for how language allows us to express ideas, tell stories, and understand different perspectives. I want to teach because I know that English can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to writing essays or analyzing texts, and I enjoy helping students break those challenges down into something manageable and even enjoyable. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more confident in their ability to think, write, and express themselves clearly. I believe every student is capable of improving with the right guidance and support, and I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions.

I believe English is something you learn best through conversation, understanding, and confidence. In my tutoring, I focus on helping students genuinely understand how certain aspects of the language, so they can express their ideas clearly and naturally. I guide students through the thinking process behind writing, reading, and analysing texts. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, whether that means building foundational grammar for second-language learners, improving essay structure, or developing deeper literary analysis. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and gradually becoming more confident communicators both in school and beyond.
