About Haven

Hi, I'm Haven! I have been tutoring for over 5 years and have completed higher education English classes. English has been my favorite subject since I was a kid. I often spend time reading books and surrounding myself in a different world within my mind. I have a strong sense of determination combined with humor that my past students love. Students have described me as less of a "boring teacher" and more as a friend that genuinely wants to help them succeed.

About the lesson

Enjoy a relaxed and creative approach to learning with Haven. Creativity is centered in every session and she is happy to tailor your sessions to include your interests, passions, and hobbies. Haven specializes in elementary and middle school ELA and English classes. Before you delve into building your English knowledge, Haven is happy to help with any assignments that you could use 1 on 1 assistance with to ensure an increase in your overall grade.

Haven is the most patient and understanding teacher we have experienced. She goes above and beyond to teach on a level that is fun and interactive that keeps our daughter engaged when she normally doesn’t pay attention. Our daughter looks forward to tutoring and even “wishes she could see Mrs. Mier everyday”!
