About Sirine

I have recently graduated from high school and I am awaiting to enroll into University

The HSC courses that I took include
- English Advanced
- Modern History
- Business Studies
- Mathematics Standard 2
- Legal Studies

I was a member of my schools SRC team as well as the school President and have continuously been part of school leadership

I value respect and understanding as a tutor and will ensure to create an empowering learning environment where students can grow and learn

About the lesson

Technique when teaching is to address the students concerns and establish what we will focus on. I recommend students bring past exams/assignments and school reports to understand learning concerns.

Lessons activities can include myself explaining relevant content for e.g. poetry techniques, then ensuring the student has understood. From there we can continue to practice and apply the knowledge taught. I can also provide feedback on current or past assessments.

I have formal experience in tutoring as my current employment is at a tutoring company of which I have been working for just under 2 years.

I also have experience in coaching and mentoring, and in year 10 I was the debating coach for my school.

Examples of the academic success I have achieved include
- 20/20 for an English essay in Yr 10
- 19/20 for a yr 11 essay
- 19/20 for HSC short answer questions
- 100% in year 11 business exam

Sirine is a bubbly, warm and passionate teacher who I have been school friends with for years. She is a diligent student who has assisted me with my own learning and building my own confidence in my academic abilities. Sirine's facilitator (student-orientated) teaching style allows her to connect with students as she is patient, kind and down-to-earth. She creates a learning environment that invites student participation where they are not afraid to make mistakes and ask questions, allowing students to get the best out of their lessons.
