About Martha
I am a 3rd Year English student at the University of Liverpool and after university my plan is to teach English as a foreign language and eventually go into publishing. I am studying both literature and language but focus on literature. My dissertation is focused on Children's literature in the post-war period.

My approach is dependent upon reading level and age. Primary aged children will focus on reading, phonics and comprehension. Secondary level focuses on understanding of tasks and the ability to stay on topic as well as understanding spelling and grammar. GCSE is focused on the set texts and how to construct an essay using the PETAL method. This also includes memorising some secondary sources and quotes. GCSE prep requires the student to complete practice papers with me and on their own. Eventually the practice papers will be completed within the time limits
