About Colleen Alissa
I am a team oriented professional. Task oriented with a calm demeanor. I work with all school ages currently, teaching students from 5 to 22 years old. Implement other subjects into my Health curriculum. I am determined, patient and have great interpersonal skills. I create a warm learning environment and affirm my students abilities, while breaking down individual challenges and needs.

My lessons are fun and interactive. I break down goals into smaller ones and maintain a positive and patient demeanor. My students overcome challenges. I use a multi-disciplinary approach, working with other teachers and professionals in my school such as administrators, speech therapists, homeroom teachers, OT's and PT's. No two students are alike so a cookie-cutter approach is not implemented. I take time to learn about the student's interests and use them as incentives and reward "breaks" when completing learning tasks. More availability in the summer, especially August.
