About Hillary

I taught all students in a production of The Giver their lines in sign language.

I have taught at a senior center. And was met with enthusiasm and excitement. They also expressed that they loved how calm and supportive and knowledgeable about the subject. They also appreciated how I never claimed to have all the answers or know everything. Since it is my second language. However when presented with a question I don't know the answer to then I will research and get back to students with an answer.

About the lesson

I have a Certificate in American Sign Language Interpreting through the ITP training. As well as a B.A.

I focus on each new student and how best they learn. I base what to teach on what they want to learn. Focusing on things they are interested in to help the learning become more accessible and interesting to them.

I am understanding, supportive teacher. I want to share my passion with you in a place of no judgment.
