About Gemma
I am a biology and biochemistry tutor with a strong academic and research background in human health. I hold a BSc in Biological Sciences and am currently completing a Master’s degree in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences. I work with high school, university, and ESL students, taking a clear, organized, and supportive approach tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. With experience in both scientific coursework and academic writing, I help students build confidence, strengthen understanding, and communicate their ideas clearly in a professional academic setting.

A typical lesson begins by identifying your goals, such as exam preparation, concept review, or writing support. We then work through key material together—reviewing content, practicing questions, or editing writing in real time—and finish with a brief summary and clear next steps for independent study.
What sets me apart is my background in scientific research, which allows me to teach both course content and how to think critically and analytically. I also integrate writing and communication skills, helping students clearly explain complex ideas in assignments, theses, and applications.
My lessons are designed for high school and university students, particularly those studying biology, biochemistry, and human health, as well as students seeking academic writing support for lab reports, theses, CVs, cover letters, and graduate or professional school applications.
