About Tressie
Completing my MA in applied linguistics at Teachers College Columbia gave me the tools to refine complex language structures.
I currently spend my days balancing the needs of adults retraining for new careers alongside teenagers working under immense pressure. Teaching English evolved from a small side project into a full-time focus over 8 years of practice.
Helping heritage learners navigate the nuances of formal discourse remains my primary goal. I treat silences as necessary thinking time rather than wasted space. Precision is the foundation of my method. You will leave these sessions feeling completely prepared for your next challenge.

Silence defines the pace of our work because i prefer to let you process information internally before speaking. you explain concepts back to me without prompts to ensure the material finally feels obvious.
My 8 years of experience with TESOL certification allow me to guide you through grammar and literature analysis with total clarity. Public speaking and interview preparation form the bulk of our technical practice.
We focus on vocabulary building that bridges the gap between home fluency and academic expectations. You gain command over your language choices through consistent observation of your own patterns. Constant refinement brings us toward the target of 6.0 proficiency levels.
