About Mariya
I am a second year specialist major in psycholinguistics, with passion and experience in passing my knowledge on to others.
From being a Program Facilitator with MPL to being a French Immersion TA, I've experience working with a myriad of age groups in group and one-on-one settings.

I work with students in a discussion based environment, where I listen to their needs and centre my teaching around them. I believe in flexibility and fostering a safe environment. I teach advanced writing and grammar to high school students, and offer specialized OSSLT prep.

Mariya was my student mentor when she was in high school, and she was super supportive! She was always clear about lessons and asked about what would help me best. She would go over and edit my essays and assignments for english, history, and business and was very thorough but nice about how to improve my writing! Besides my essays, she also helped me prepare for the OCCLT, which I was so scared about, but she made everything sound so simple and easy! I can't recommend her enough!
