About Brenda
I have over 30 years of experience in teaching the foundations of Academic English for students ranging in age from 4 to 74 in public education and as a professor in a Dallas College. Evaluating test questions or textbooks for the Texas Education Agency was an obligation to the students of Texas. Presenting at national conferences and delivering staff development to teachers is how I share the results of research.

Learning is as natural and inevitable as breathing and should be fun and relevant to the student’s life and dreams. Depending on what is being taught, using excellent examples as a model for performance, discussion, and games for practice are part of my repertoire. Research proves that the brain learns best when the student is having fun.
