About Wendy
For 30 years, I built a rewarding career as a nurse before returning to college as an adult learner. I understand the challenges of balancing school, work, family, and everyday responsibilities because I've lived them.
Through dedication, effective study strategies, and perseverance, I earned my Bachelor's degree summa cum laude, my Master's degree with honors, and ultimately my Doctorate with honors.
As a tutor, I'm passionate about helping students—especially adult learners—build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and reach their educational goals. Whether you need help with writing, study strategies, nursing coursework, research, or staying motivated, I'll provide personalized guidance tailored to your learning style.

My teaching approach is centered on clear communication, personalized support, and helping each student achieve meaningful results. Every student has unique goals, learning styles, and challenges, so I tailor each session to meet their individual needs.
Our first session begins with a discussion of your academic goals, strengths, and the areas where you would like the most support. From there, I develop a personalized plan that focuses on building your knowledge, confidence, and skills step by step.
I strive to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where questions are always welcome and progress is celebrated. Whether you're preparing for an exam, improving your writing, mastering nursing concepts, or returning to school as an adult learner, I'll provide practical strategies and guidance to help you succeed. My goal is not only to help you understand the material but also to become a more confident, independent learner.
