About Carys
Hi, I’m Carys! I’m nearly 19 and I’m really friendly and easy to talk to, so lessons won’t feel intense or awkward. I’m always up for a conversation and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and just being themselves.
I also know how stressful exams can be, especially English. I consistently achieved Grade 9s in both English Language and Literature, and I’d love to help someone else reach that level and go into their exams feeling confident and prepared.

In my lessons we’ll focus on the things that actually make a difference in exams. We’ll work through real GCSE questions, practise planning and writing strong answers, and go over past papers depending on the exam board. I’ll help with understanding texts, building clear arguments, and improving exam technique so students know exactly what markers are looking for. It’s also a space to ask questions, go over tricky areas, and build confidence so English starts to feel a lot more manageable.
