About Abigail
As someone who has always exceeded in writing and reading, it became natural that I helped those around me with it as well. I enjoy both fiction, literary works, poetry, and nonfiction in my free time, and of course will read the source materials my students are working with, to best be of aide to them. I also am an avid writer. I am also currently continuing my own education. My goal as a tutor is to help students form the critical thinking skills and writing abilities to not only exceed in current classes, but to also carry those skills over to the rest of their school experiences, and to form confidence in their abilities.

I'm Bee, a current student of English. In my time I have written two novels (80k words each), and I received a 36 on the ACT in the english portion.
I teach middle school and high school in two different sections: Homework Help and then Area Improvement.
In Homework Help, I will use the source materials given in the classes the student is taking, and help them not only understand the reading, but help them form their own opinions on the text, and translate that into the assigned projects from their subject teachers.
Area Improvement is based off what the student is interested in, either academic essay writing, a type of literature, or creative writing. In this I will create a lesson plan for them, based on the amount of classes they want to take, including in class work and discussions, and out of class work, to do in between lessons.
I hope to help all my students learn the joys of writing and reading, and help elevate their skills to a point of independence in their studies.
