About Jazzmyne

Meet Your Instructor: Jazzmyne, MBA

When you choose to learn with me, you are investing in instruction backed by academic excellence and proven leadership. I am Jazzmyne, a dedicated educator and the founder of American Sign Language Studio, LLC. My professional foundation is built upon a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Gardner-Webb University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from North Greenville University. This unique combination of analytical precision and business leadership ensures that my educational environment is exceptionally organized, goal-oriented, and reliable.

My expertise extends beyond the classroom and into active community advocacy. I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Pee Dee Hearing Center and have successfully partnered with the University of South Carolina Sumter to deliver high-quality ASL coursework. Whether I am managing complex financial operations or leading a sign language workshop, I bring a standard of excellence that guarantees a productive and professional experience for every student.

I understand that learning a new language is a significant commitment. That is why I approach every lesson with the same discipline I apply to my professional bookkeeping and business management. You aren't just getting a tutor; you are getting a mentor who is deeply embedded in Deaf advocacy and committed to your fluency. My goal is to provide you with the structure, cultural insight, and confidence you need to communicate effectively and authentically in American Sign Language.

About the lesson

My background isn't just in the classroom; I am deeply involved in advocacy, serving on the Board of Directors for the Pee Dee Hearing Center and partnering with institutions like the University of South Carolina Sumter. Whether I am managing professional bookkeeping or leading an ASL workshop, my goal is always clarity, accuracy, and empowerment. I provide my students with a professional learning environment where they can feel confident mastering a new language.

My teaching approach is immersive and structured. I believe the best way to learn ASL is to see it and live it, which is why I use visual-first techniques that minimize 'voicing' and maximize your ability to think in signs.

A Typical Lesson Includes:

The Foundation: Reviewing hand shapes and facial expressions to ensure your 'accent' is clear.

The Logic: Using my analytical background to break down ASL grammar and syntax into easy-to-understand patterns.

Real-World Practice: We don't just learn lists of words; we practice scenarios like workplace conversations, community events, or advocacy settings.

Cultural Context: Every lesson includes insights into Deaf Culture, ensuring you understand the 'why' behind the signs.

My lessons are perfect for college students needing help with their ASL degrees, professionals looking to increase workplace accessibility, or beginners who want a solid, professional start to their signing journey.
