About Shayne
One of my greatest strengths as an ESL teacher is my ability to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment. I understand that learning a new language can be intimidating, and I work hard to make sure that all of my students feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their language learning journey. I am also skilled at developing creative and engaging lesson plans that encourage students to actively participate in their own learning process.
In addition to my experience as an EL teacher, I hold a TEFL 120 hour Certification and currently broadening my horizons further, which has provided me with a strong foundation in language acquisition theory and pedagogy. I am always seeking to improve my teaching practice and stay up-to-date on the latest research in the field of language education.

With over two years of experience teaching English as a second language, I am confident in my ability to provide students with the support and guidance they need to thrive in their language learning journey.
My passion for teaching English as a second language began during my time as a volunteer teacher in our community at an aftercare. I worked with students from a variety of backgrounds and language levels, helping them to develop their language skills and gain confidence in their ability to communicate effectively in English. Since then, I have worked as an ESL teacher in both in South Africa and remotely abroad, honing my skills and developing a deep understanding of how best to support students in their language learning process.
