About Kena
As a first-time tutor, I do understand students may have concerns with professionalism and what the material may look like but I can assure you that I will take extra careful time with each student and ensure that they understand the material instead of being ignorant of how they may learn. I can and will provide visual examples as well as videos if need extra assistance. I want my students to know and feel like English is their strong suit. I want my students to know that they can excel in English and that they can know and do well with grammar and writing. It can be a difficult task but I know that they can do it along with my assistance. To help these magnificent students learn and understand English we will be using tools such as Kahoot, Blooket, Google Classroom, and Qkids to help these students fully understand English in a fun and impactful environment. A typical lesson from me would consist of multiple practices in understanding the sounds of letters, vowels, nouns, etc. We will also cover how to make grammatically correct sentences as well as how to analyze a text and put it into an accurate evaluation and summary. For grades 2nd-5th I will assist with sentence making and understanding grammar as well as punctuation and reading comprehension. For grades 6-8, I will assist with understanding text and using correct sentences and grammar to form a paragraph that is based on the provided document and has a good structure. As a junior in highschool, i understand that a lot of students in these grade levels struggle with English in general and I want to assist them with that as best as possible without interfering with their school time and homework.
