About Jack
As a passionate fan of education, I pride myself on mirroring my greatest teachers, whilst charting a style all my own. With a strong background in literary drama, I work hard to show my students the stories within their writing, be it essays or poems.
1. Subject matter expertise in several forms of writing.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to meet students where they are regardless of level or learning style.
4. Patience, empathy, and a dedication to showing students where their strengths lie.
I'm confident that my experience and enthusiasm make me an ideal tutor for any student. I'm committed to helping them navigate obstacles so that they can see themselves as the writer they want to be.

A typical lesson is led by the student's eagerness. Where they find themselves struggling, is where we find ourselves first. I'm here to help you grasp the BIG IDEA of your writing so that your first attempt feels like a wonderful blueprint for future and final drafts, and not a puzzle to be solved.
Along the way, I will be sure to proofread your text to speed up the process later on. And, after each step in the right direction, we will turn the step into a teaching moment, a lesson you can refer back to to help your comprehension grow.
To better understand your writing I must first better understand the writer. An introduction beyond name and area of emphasis, so that I can relate your personal intentions to your literary ones.
Most importantly, our lesson involves having fun! Writing is exciting and should feel like it.
