About Jamie
Sound creates a physical resonance under the fingertips that dictates the entire performance. Teaching remains my method for passing on the lineage of my Peabody trained mentor while maintaining the high standards of my Yale School of Music doctorate. Developing technical proficiency through scales, arpeggios, and precise hand posture forms the bedrock of my instruction.

Inner hearing becomes an active partner in your practice as you learn to listen deeply before pressing a single key. Audiation serves as the primary technique, allowing students to map out complex dynamics and expression with total clarity before they commit to physical movement.
Sight playing and music theory appear as integrated elements within every session. We work through Czerny exercises that sharpen your precision while balancing the repertoire with pieces you genuinely enjoy performing.
My 13 years of experience ensure that your progress stays steady and methodical. This 9 minute assessment during our initial meeting helps us identify your specific goals. I look forward to hearing your music.
