About Janet

Hello, my name is Janet, and I am a bilingual English and Spanish professional with more than 10 years of experience working in administrative, customer service, and government office environments. Throughout my career, I have developed strong communication, writing, and professional business skills that I am passionate about sharing with others.
I understand that learning a new language can be challenging, which is why I strive to create a patient, supportive, and encouraging learning environment. I work with students at their own pace and take the time to explain concepts clearly, especially for beginners or those who need extra support. My goal is to help students build confidence while improving their English speaking, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, and professional communication skills.
In addition to everyday English, I can help students develop workplace communication skills, including office etiquette, customer service interactions, email writing, interview preparation, and professional vocabulary commonly used in business and government settings.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's learning style and goals. I focus on building confidence through interactive lessons that combine conversation practice, vocabulary development, grammar instruction, reading comprehension, pronunciation exercises, and professional communication skills.
A typical lesson begins with a review of previous material, followed by new concepts, guided practice, and real-life conversation activities to help students apply what they have learned. I also incorporate workplace English, business communication, email writing, interview preparation, customer service skills, and office etiquette commonly used in professional and government work environments.
What sets me apart is my bilingual English and Spanish background and my 10 years of experience working in professional office and government settings. Through my administrative and customer service experience, I have developed strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of professional workplace expectations. I help students learn practical English that can be used confidently in offices, customer-facing roles, meetings, interviews, and everyday business interactions.
I am especially patient with students who are beginner learners, need additional support, or learn at a slower pace. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I take the time to explain concepts in multiple ways until students feel comfortable and confident. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging, and stress-free learning environment where students can progress at their own pace.
