About Mataya
I have been an avid language learner my whole life, and now am dipping into the other side. I have written over 30 books, and won many competitions and awards for poetry and creative writing.
I have also spent 3 years teaching kindergarten, and a year substituting for the same school in multiple grades.
I teach ESL online to small groups, but I'm excited for this new experience teaching 1 on 1!

My beginner classes focus on getting comfortable with the basics of the English alphabet and basic words and phrases using the student's own surroundings and interests.
My intermediate classes are for those who have the basics of the English language down and are looking to expand on their knowledge and get valuable practice. With these classes I run the student through real life scenarios and practice conversational skills.
