About Grace
Hello!
My name is Grace and I am friendly, enthusiastic and understanding. I have a degree in Architecture and have worked in a professional architectural practice for almost 4 years. Therefore I am trained in a range of different skills including those that are more creative - such as drawing and design; and those which are more technical - such as Maths and Engineering. I have a particular affection for English, and have very strong reading, writing and analytical skills.
I use this range of skills to teach students in a variety of different creative and engaging ways. I have a deep respect for others and work to understand the different needs of individual learners.
I have a genuine passion for working with and teaching others, offering support, encouragement and guidance. I have volunteered with children both in the UK, Spain and Brazil to share my knowledge and teach a variety of topics including Maths, English and Design. I have a strong ability to work with others alongside excellent organisation and communication skills.
Outside the classroom my interests include reading, cooking and travelling. I have every confidence that I have the necessary qualities to provide excellent teaching, and I look forward to working with you!

I offer English lessons for Primary & Secondary school students. My experience includes:
- 2 years working as a Kumon instructor teaching Secondary School Maths and English
- A summer spent as an Au Pair in Spain teaching English to Primary School Students
-English tutoring for family friends at Secondary School Level
- Volunteering at the Architecture Centre in Bristol working with young people to teach them Design Skills
I have studied Architecture so have a creative approach to teaching, using a range of different methods including:
- Task-based teaching
- Case Studies / Examples
- Teaching tools such as Moodle and Google Slides
- Progress tests through online forms and writing assignments
