I like to base my sessions on interest! If my student is not interested they most likely find it difficult to retain information. I like using games to teach as well as natural conversation. On the other hand I like having structured lessons with limited time to converse at the beginning of the session leading into review, then new information then ending with a games or more conversation using the things we learned. I like taking it slow with patience and understanding that we all start somewhere!!
I am a college student currently working towards becoming a certified ASL Interpreter (as well as other languages) in every setting I can! I began learning ASL as a child with books and such BUT that wasn’t enough for me! During high school I took 3 years of ASL and once I started college I immediately took all the ASL classes I could. Once I finished those I moved on to the interpreting program my college offers and here I am!!
