About Amanda
I am a lifelong learner who has studied and worked in institutions from the community college to the Ivy League, both in-person and online. I hold a BA in Psychology (Christopher Newport University), an MA in Higher and Postsecondary Education (Columbia University), a graduate certificate in Adult Learning (Johns Hopkins University), and an MA in English (Southern New Hampshire University). I have been teaching college students for nearly 15 years and worked in Student Development for over a decade. I love teaching, and love helping students to love learning!

Voted “Teacher of the Year” in 2023-24, I absolutely love working with students to improve their reading, writing, and citation skills using a scaffolding method that breaks projects into small, manageable steps.
