About Amy
I want my students to feel confident knowing they are working with someone who is knowledgeable, prepared, and deeply committed to their success. I approach tutoring with professionalism, consistency, and respect, always creating a safe and structured learning environment where students can focus and grow. I have strong expertise in literacy, English, reading, writing, spelling, and critical thinking, and I use proven, thoughtful strategies to support real progress—not shortcuts. I also bring hands-on experience working with autistic children and students in special education, which has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons, communicate clearly, and support diverse learning needs with patience and care. I am currently working toward my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Special Education, continually expanding my skills and knowledge to better serve my students. My goal is for every student to feel supported, capable, and confident in my guidance. I take my role seriously, hold high expectations with compassion, and strive to earn trust through consistency, clarity, and genuine dedication to learning.

Students choose me as their educator because I genuinely care about how they learn and who they are becoming. I have a strong passion for literacy and a deep understanding of English, reading, writing, spelling, and critical thinking, but more importantly, I know how to meet students where they are. I have experience working with autistic children and students in special education, which has shaped my patient, flexible, and compassionate approach to teaching. I believe every child learns differently, and I value those differences as strengths.
I am currently working toward my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Special Education, and this journey continues to deepen my understanding of inclusive, supportive learning practices. I strive to create a classroom where learning feels safe, meaningful, and empowering—where mistakes are part of growth, effort is celebrated, and every student feels seen, supported, and confident in their voice.
