Since graduating from RADA, I haven't stopped working on stage and on screen.
Alongside this, I love teaching, and would never want to stop that. I have extensive experience leading masterclasses on audition monologues and technique, acting for camera, Shakespeare, improvisation, voice and movement, and general public speaking. I have sat on the panels for leading UK drama schools as well as in auditions for the leading national theatre companies.
I have helped students to gain places at RADA, LAMDA, Guildhall, the Oxford School of Drama and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
I have mentored third year students at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and taught a number of workshops at Playbox Theatre Company on the drama school experience.
Recently I was interviewed for Annie Tyson's book Shakespeare and Stanislavski.
My lessons aim to grow student's confidence - whether that be for an audition, a role they are playing, or more generally in their acting career. I aim to unlock their instinct and get them back to the basics of the make-believe, encouraging as much fun as possible in the process. I want my students to connect personally to their work, and have a range of different tools to help them discover their way into a character. This isn't about 'getting it right', it's about finding how you connect to a story and bring it alive. Casting Directors, Drama Schools, Directors - they want to see the uniqueness of you, why you specifically should play this part, and together we can find that.
My work encompasses -
- Drama School Auditions
- Self Tape Preparation
- LAMDA exams
- Script Work
- Shakespeare - unlocking the language
- Career Mentoring.

Ralph is a fantastic acting coach! He worked with me on my Shakespeare and modern speeches which helped me get a place at drama school, and I have carried on working with him on scenes and auditions throughout my career. He is a detailed, patient and incredibly knowledgeable tutor who I would highly, highly recommend people work with.
I had the pleasure of working with Ralph at the Globe Theatre in 2024, and I can say without hesitation that he is not only a superb actor but also a warm, kind, and approachable person. He brings total commitment and energy to everything he does, and I’ve no doubt he would do the same for his students. Ralph has a deep understanding of his craft, and time spent learning from him would be both inspiring and immensely valuable.
