About Andrew
My name is Andy, I'm 27 years old and I started flying at the ripe old age of 8! I caught the flying bug after that first trial flight, and am now a fully qualified CASA Instructor, teaching students how to fly in a university program.
I hold a Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating, Spin Endorsement, and an Instructor Rating with a G2A endorsement. One of the biggest (and ongoing) highlights of my career is definitely seeing the joy in my students following every successful check and test, as well as spending time operating a modified Piper Seminole to regularly survey the NSW coastline (buzzing beaches at 1000ft, a thrill and an absolute view every time).
I enjoy the blue skies and limitless possibilities of this career, and hope to help share that passion by assisting others in their study endeavours! My favourite topics to teach are Systems, Aerodynamics, and Law (which funnily enough used to be the topic I struggled with the most as a student!)

As a Grade 2 Flight Instructor with 1300+ hours, I'm looking to help all future pilots achieve their goals on their journey towards a Commercial Pilot License, Recreational Pilot License, and everything in between. I can run mock ground assessments, as well as assist in understanding flying techniques, procedures and how to tackle CASA-style exam questions.
I can create practice exams & study plans for various subjects, and conduct whiteboard sessions in-person or online. These would aim at addressing applicable flight test ground component topics, restudying for a second or further exam, and/or just going through any knowledge & questions you'd like.
As a Grade 2 Flight Instructor, I can also assess & sign off your KDR's following your CASA examinations.
I'm typically free most evenings Sunday-Thursday, as well as all day Friday and Saturday.

Flat $15 fee to travel anywhere within 15km of Balmain, NSW. Negotiable for further distances. Online sessions are streamed from an iPad and Mac so it's just like I'm there writing and chatting with you!
