About Scott
I have been a university professor for almost 25 years. I have taught a wide range of subjects, from basic algebra and pre-calculus courses all the way through advanced courses for students specializing in college math degrees. I have a wonderful reputation with my students, especially for providing clear and engaging lessons and instruction. My goal is to make math easier and friendlier towards students than they perhaps currently perceive.

I am a patient, understanding teacher who will meet students where they are, just as I have for my entire career as a professor. I will recap and review the most important points related to a topic, and then provide assistance to students in problem-solving at whatever stage they are at. I do not simply provide answers, but help guide students to finding those answers for themselves, and for communicating those answers effectively for others. My philosophy is the same regardless of the course material: give students the tools to be independent thinkers and problem-solvers.
