About Elayna
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Arts from Temple University and have been accepted to Pacific University's Creative Writing MFA program, which I am set to begin in January 2027. I am the author of three poetry collections, (UNRAVELING LIGHT, DARKNESS UNDONE, and CONNECTING ROUTES) as well as the Young Adult Fantasy novel in verse, STILL THE STARS. I have had short works featured in Wizards in Space Literary, tiny wren lit, just femme & dandy, and Limited Editions. I was also a recipient of the Judith Stark Creative Writing Award while I was studying for a certificate at Community College of Philadelphia. I am based out of Portland, OR, but am originally from Norristown, PA, and my little black cat makes for an excellent, though not very talkative, writing assistant.

As someone who has spent the last decade publishing four books, founding and co-editing poetry and prose anthologies for an independent press, and being featured in numerous literary magazines, I have a wide range of experiences with how to turn your writing into something you can confidently put out into the world. I offer generative writing workshops and support for writers who know this is something they care deeply about, but who aren't sure where to get started. Whether it's poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction, I'm here to help!
