About Richard
I am an experienced tutor who has taught English and Journalism for many years. I recently retired, but miss teaching. My mother was a teacher who was always willing to go the extra mile to help her students in any way she could. I follow in her footsteps. To me this isn't a job; it's a calling.

I have been fortunate to have been chosen teacher of the year twice in my career as an honors high school English and writing teacher. I have also been recognized by the National Education Association for my contributions to education over the years. A published author and journalist, it is important to me to help others achieve their goals, whether it is writing that perfect essay or simply understanding literary works from English and American literature. I am not a lecturer. I am a teacher who works closely with my students to help them learn and understand through various methods, including those in which the student learns best.
