About Nicoletta

I am a composer for film and video games and classical pianist from Greece, based in Los Angeles. I have a diploma in Piano and Music Theory from Trinity College of Music. I graduated with top honors both from USC’s Screen Scoring Master’s program and Berklee College of Music. I have been working in the industry for over 10 years.

During my time at Berklee, I was a core music tutor and taught classes such as music theory (jazz and classical), tonal harmony, counterpoint, conducting, and piano. I am a CRLA Level 2 certified core music tutor as well. I have over 7 years of experience teaching students of all ages, in person and online. In addition to piano, voice and music theory, I also teach composition, film scoring, and video game scoring.

Whether you’re learning music as a hobby, preparing for auditions, or pursuing a professional career, my lessons are customized to your goals. I believe in creating a supportive, inspiring environment where students not only build strong technical skills but also discover their unique artistic voice.

About the lesson

Each student is unique and learns differently. I always start by making sure that the fundamentals are highly understood and build up from there. I try to understand each student's unique way of learning and adapt it in my style. I combine visual, audible and hands-on methods of teaching. I like using real life experiences and songs as examples to make the class more interesting. I always try to help my students understand how to apply what they learned in their own personal work.

Nicoletta is simply the BEST teacher I've ever had. We study piano and music theory together. On top of being a really accomplished composer with impressive credits & resume, teaching comes as second nature to her. Each class, I learn and improve so much. She creates a fun, inspiring learning environment and knows exactly how to motivate her students. I feel so grateful to have her as my teacher and honestly could not recommend her more highly. If you’re looking for a teacher, look no further!
